Protection magic

Protection is what people remember after they have been hit. The wise set it in advance — especially if you are open and sensitive, run a successful business, have envious people around, or small children, whom the evil eye catches first.

I set several kinds of protection. Personal — a shield that repels envy, evil eye and castings. For the home — so the house stays quiet and no evil crosses the threshold. For a child — a gentle charm that covers without pressing. For business — so competitors’ candles burn in vain.

Protection is set for a year with renewal. It is not a wall behind which nothing happens — you live a normal life, only evil does not stick to you. Once a year we check its state and refresh it if needed.

Together with protection I give simple hygiene rules: what not to say aloud, which gifts better not to accept, how to behave after heavy encounters. Magic is half the matter; the other half is prudence.
